Piggly Wiggly Food for Less Albany is proud to be an approved vendor for the Georgia WIC program.

The WIC Approved Foods list contains a listing of foods that are available to the WIC customer. Only these food items may be purchased by the participant or proxy using the WIC food instrument. The vendor will receive notice of any program updates related to the Approved Foods list.

The WIC Approved Foods List shows the types, sizes, and packaging of foods WIC participants may receive with their WIC vouchers.

Eligibility

WIC serves women, infants, and children in families with income at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level or enrolled in Medicaid; and who are at risk for nutritional deficiencies. Participant categories consist of pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women; infants and children up to their fifth birthday.

You can take the WIC Eligibility Assessment to see if you qualify* or contact your local WIC office to make an appointment and find out which documents you will need to bring with you. WIC has local offices across the State of Georgia.

Complete a WIC online application at the Georgia Gateway website. If you are eligible for benefits, your clinic will contact you with an appointment for your Nutrition Assessment and food voucher.
